Year in Review: Looking back at 2023 with LiveLike

Happy holidays everybody! The end of 2023 is near, which means it’s time to look back on all the amazing things we accomplished this year. From exciting integrations and partnerships to groundbreaking product and feature updates, each step has been a testament to our commitment to revolutionizing the digital platform experience.

So much happened this year, so we’re cutting it down to the top 2023 updates from LiveLike. Let’s get into it!

1. LiveLike secures SILVER for Best Tech Company at SportsPro OTT Awards 2023

Excited doesn’t begin to describe it! This year at the annual SportsPro OTT Awards, LiveLike placed Silver for Best Tech Company, and we could not be more proud.

We were head-to-head this year with some outstanding competition, and the fact that we even placed, let alone came second, is a true testament to our team’s dedication and innovation. A proud moment for the entire LiveLike team!

2. YES and LiveLike partner to launch “YES Rewards,” the first app-based loyalty program for TV sports viewing

This one was a game-changer for LiveLike. In June 2023, we unveiled “YES Rewards” — a revolutionary app-based loyalty program designed exclusively for TV sports viewing. Powered by LiveLike, fans on the platform can earn points, unlock badges, and vie for incredible prizes by engaging with YES App content and features.

Taking inspiration from successful loyalty programs in various industries like airlines, credit cards and hospitality—”YES Rewards” aspires to foster brand affinity, retention, and loyalty among viewers. The program works to create meaningful connections by engaging and rewarding the most passionate fans out there, making their sports-viewing experience truly exceptional.

3. Launch of Social Graph & User Presence

Not only did we announce ground-breaking partnerships in 2023, but we also introduced some game-changing community features, including Social Graph, Activity Feed, Comment Boards, and User Presence-as-a-Service. 

These tools aim to elevate user engagement, foster real-time interactions, and provide a personalized experience within online communities, seamlessly integrating with existing LiveLike features. These new community features also seamlessly integrate with existing LiveLike features, such as chat rooms, widgets, and leaderboards, providing a comprehensive and unified user experience.

4. LiveLike engagement tools now available on AWS Marketplace

In the springtime, we had the pleasure of announcing that LiveLike’s powerful engagement and gamification tools are available in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, offering clients easy integration of gamification and engagement features to live streams and events without additional infrastructure management. This significant development enhances the accessibility and scalability of our innovative solutions.

5. LiveLike and Loco partner to turbocharge fan experiences with a new loyalty program for gamers

Another huge win for LiveLike this year was our partnership with Loco, the world’s leading independent esports and live-streaming platform, to power the Loco rewards program. Integrated into Loco’s digital gaming experience, LiveLike’s innovative quest feature turns every Loco livestream into an adventure.

Gamers on the platform can earn rewards, unlock status badges, and collect points for exciting prizes, fueling their passion on the platform like never before. Together with Loco, we’ve continued our mission this year to reshape the interactive entertainment landscape, offering a thrilling world of immersive gaming experiences.

7. LiveLike partners with TF1 for beloved ‘Star Academy’ show

It’s always exciting when we get to bring our engagement features beyond the sports industry, and such was the case with our partnership with France’s TF1 Group. We joined forces with TF1 Group back in November to integrate our tools within the Star Academy section of My TF1. 

Now on the platform, Star Academy fans and My TF1 users have the power to shape the program’s narrative by answering polls, posing questions to their favorite contestants, and more.

6. Partnering with CDPs to power personalized and engaging customer experiences

This year, one of our major priorities was establishing strategic partnerships to take our fan engagement solution to the next level. This included collaborating with several leading customer data platforms to harness the power of real-time insights and create more personalized, engaging experiences for our clients’ platform users. 

In 2023, we announced our partnerships with CDP powerhouses mParticle, Twilio Segment, and Insider. These partnerships marked significant strides for us, underscoring our unwavering dedication to providing cutting-edge fan engagement solutions.

8. Launching EuroLeague TV activation with Endeavor

This was an exciting one! This December, we dropped the first activation of our partnership with Endeavor Streaming: an interactive experience to The Players’ View, the live streaming watch-along show that revolutionized how fans experience European basketball.

Together with Endeavor, we’re bringing basketball fans and EuroLeague TV viewers closer to the action than ever before with the ability to interact with commentators through polls, quizzes, cheer meters, and more.

9. Launch of Quests

Last but not least, we added LiveLike Quests to our loyalty rewards offering to foster more meaningful interactions and incentivize certain user behaviors. Quests introduce users to a series of tasks that can unlock exciting goals, badges, and rewards once completed on your platform.

By introducing an extra layer of excitement and progress tracking, Quests offer users a tangible sense of accomplishment, making them more inclined to stay engaged with the experience and motivated to return to your platform over time.
